For face masks, machine wash or hand wash, cold water is suggested to prevent shrinking. Recommend washing masks inside mesh bags. Do not bleach. Dry flat, hang dry or tumble dry. OK to iron these face masks.

my cat is now a full-time canoeist

My cat has never liked cat beds. She prefers cardboard boxes, open suitcases, and unzipped backpacks, but those don't look good in the living room. The cat canoe is so much nicer, and she loves it so much she's been ignoring her former-favorite cardboard box! It's just the right size for her to curl up snug, and she seems to enjoy hanging her paws over the side sometimes. My only suggestion would be to make one shaped like a hard shell taco, or a bread pan.
